The ZBZ product range is built on three lines: heavy load, long service life and full customisability. Every mainstream bearing type is available in a version reinforced for metallurgical and mining duty cycles, and every one of them can be deeply customised in material, clearance, sealing, lubrication and coating.
Dimensions and figures below are typical ranges. The actual supply envelope is confirmed in the technical specification sheet.
Double-row barrel rollers with self-aligning capability compensate shaft deflection and misalignment. Very high radial load capacity together with a substantial axial load carrying capacity. The general-purpose workhorse for continuous caster rolls, crushers and vibrating screens.
Line contact gives high radial stiffness and load capacity at a low friction coefficient, suited to high speed under heavy load. Four-row designs are widely used on mill work rolls and backup rolls, and separable designs speed up roll changes.
Carry combined radial and single-direction axial loads, with high stiffness, adjustable clearance and matched pairing. Used on mining trucks, crushing equipment, gearboxes and conveyor pulleys.
An asymmetric barrel roller design delivers very high axial load capacity while accommodating shaft misalignment. For high-thrust, low-speed, heavy-duty applications such as extruders, rolling mills, vertical mills and cone crushers.
The highest-volume category on roller tables and conveyor systems. ZBZ supplies these as sealed, lubricated-for-life units that cut on-site maintenance to a minimum, with provision for condition monitoring.
Carry combined radial and single-direction axial loads; the larger the contact angle, the higher the axial capacity. High limiting speed, low frictional heat and stiffness that can be tuned by preload. Normally supplied as matched pairs (back-to-back / face-to-face / tandem) for shaft systems requiring precise axial location.
A peach-shaped raceway lets a single bearing carry axial load in both directions together with radial load — one bearing replaces a back-to-back pair of angular contact ball bearings, with a much shorter axial envelope. The QJ two-piece inner ring is separable, simplifying mounting and inspection.
Built up from a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball-and-cage assembly, these bearings are separable and designed purely for axial load: the single-direction type takes axial load in one direction, while the double-direction type uses one shaft washer with two housing washers to locate the shaft in both directions. Low friction and a higher limiting speed than thrust roller bearings in a compact axial envelope — but they cannot carry radial load.
Special geometries, very large sizes, special materials, special clearances, coatings and inspection standards — redesigned around the duty cycle instead of making the machine accept a catalogue item.

An identical designation does not mean an identical service life. The six factors below are how ZBZ turns a standard bearing into a long-life bearing.
Oxygen content and non-metallic inclusion ratings set the upper limit of contact fatigue life. For critical duty cycles we use electroslag-remelted (ESR) steel, removing fatigue origins at source.
Controlled-atmosphere protective heating with bainitic austempering or martensitic quenching plus stabilising temper, balancing toughness, hardness and dimensional stability at temperature.
Logarithmic profile on rollers and raceways eliminates edge stress concentration; controlled surface roughness and lay direction improve oil film formation.
Heavy-duty duty cycles get a solid machined brass cage or a reinforced pressed steel cage — resistant to shock, deformation and wear.
Labyrinth plus multi-lip contact seal combinations, matched to high-temperature water-resistant grease or a circulating oil system, keep contamination where it belongs — outside.
Operating clearance recalculated from temperature, interference and contamination, with shaft and housing bore tolerance fit recommendations supplied.
Higher accuracy means smoother running, less vibration and less heat — and more predictable service life and machining precision.
| Class | Description | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| P0 | Normal class | General drives, low-speed heavy loads |
| P6 | Intermediate class | General industrial equipment |
| P5 | Precision class | Rolling mills, high-precision drives |
| P4 | Ultra-precision class | Cold rolling, high-precision spindles |
Wrong clearance selection is one of the most common causes of early failure in heavy-duty applications. It has to be determined from interference fit, temperature rise and contamination together.
| Group | Description | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| C2 | Smaller than normal clearance | High-stiffness, low temperature rise precision applications |
| C0 | Normal clearance | Standard duty cycles |
| C3 | Greater than normal clearance | Heavy loads, interference fits, vibrating equipment |
| C4 / C5 | Large / extra large clearance | High temperature, wide temperature gradients, heavy shock loads |
